Temple trip

On March 30, 2015 we had another trip to Manila. Brother Ming Tan and Brother Titus received their Endowments. Brother Ming and Sister Poh Im were sealed and Brother Titus was sealed to his parents. There were many ordinances performed for deceased family members.
It was a wonderful trip members of the group receiving their Patriarchal blessings.

Chinese New Years

This holiday lasts for 15 days and it is a time for families to get together. It started on 18 February and we were invited to 4 different homes for dinner. It is tradition to have steamboat where they have different foods that are cooked in a broth, when they are cooked you just take some and put it on your plate. When it is finished they put more food in the pot and this goes on for hours. So much food and it just keeps coming.
We had steamboat three times in two days and another Chinese New Year dinner at another home that was not steamboat and a dinner with another family at a very nice restaurant during the holiday. We spent one week of the holiday in Singapore. It is a wonderful holiday, they invited us into their homes and treated us like family.

Home teaching

We are home teaching Sister Angela who lives in Taiping and has a home in Penang so she attends church in Penang. Taiping is about 1 and 1/2 hour drive and more rural than Penang so we really enjoy going there. On her birthday we took Sister Angela and her co worker out to dinner at the fishing village. It is about a 20 minute drive from Taiping. It was a great experience, they have the seafood on a table, you pick out what you want, they prepare it and bring it to your table.
